At Forest Lake UMC,
-
We welcome and affirm all people, especially those who may not believe our story,
-
We honor scripture through honest, critical study of the Bible,
-
We side with the under-resourced, the oppressed, and the left out,
-
We stand for justice, even when it’s unpopular.
-
We work within our local community to show the love of God through acts of service and social justice.

We would love the opportunity to offer community, acceptance, affirmation, love, and a safe space for you!

Here are a few opportunities to get together:
A Blessing of the Animals
Saturday 10/28 10-10:30am
A time of honoring our pets and the Creator who gave them to us.
We will gather in the Forest Lake UMC Prayer Garden with Pet Chaplain Rev. Bob Coulson to give thanks for the special creatures in our lives and pray for continued blessings on the loving relationships we share with them.
Bring your furry family members (and your pets 😉) and lets thank God for one another.

Pride Family Pic-Nic
Saturday 10/28 3-6pm
We are family!
No matter your biological and/or legal family situation (or lack thereof) you are invited for this time together as a human family.
We will gather at Randall Park for a great time with games, food, and good company. No need to bring anything, just come hangout and enjoy time with this loving group of folks!

Forest Lake UMC Thanksgiving Meal
Sunday 11/12 11:30am-12:30pm
We are so thankful to have met you and that you are in the world!
We will gather in the Forest Lake UMC gymnasium for a delicious meal and loving community. All are welcome!

Sunday Mornings
On Sunday Mornings we gather for worship, scriptural and general discussion, and service.

Traditional Worship - 9am - It's in the name! Hymns, liturgy, prayers, a sermon, a choir, and some more comfortable than average pews in the Sanctuary.

Modern Missions Worship - 11:15am - This worship service is a little different from most. We sit around tables, have snacks and coffee, kids play and worship in the room with us, and we worship through a hands on missions element each week. This missions element typically is made up of wrapping diapers for a diaper bank, packing emergency meal kits or snack boxes for a local food pantry/soup kitchen, attaching notes of encouragement to prepacked snacks for the UA Safe Zone Student Lounge, or writing letters to community members who are homebound or restricted in their ability to engage in social situations. (This service does not meet on the first Sunday of the month, as we gather to worship with Saint Paul UMC on Bryant Drive.)

Sunday School - 10:10am - There are classes for anyone and everyone. These discussion groups range from lecture style classes to conversation based small groups. We have more folks in Sunday School each week than we do in the worship services!

It was great bumping into you at Druid City Pride Festival! We hope to hang out with you again soon!
