Forest Lake UMC is helping Phoenix House of Tuscaloosa build a Three-Quarter House. A three-quarter house is a transitional housing unit that provides a lower level of supervision than a traditional halfway house. Phoenix House is a multi-state organization which provides individualized, holistic drug and alcohol addiction treatment, with a legacy spanning 50 years. If you would like to work on construction of the house, go to signupgenius.com or talk with Marvin McKinley.
Some of our volunteers recently helped build a wheelchair ramp for one of our home-bound members. Thank you to all who helped. Many thanks also to those who helped prepare gift bags for the homeless.
