Outreach Update 10-28-17

Would you like to help our church, “Get to Know the Neighborhood”? To offer safety and home to the people of Forest Lake, as the neighborhood grows and changes, the church wants to continue to be a vital part of the neighborhood. We are looking for ways to engage the people who call Forest Lake home. Please share your ideas, pray for ways to meet others, and help us reach out to others.

Thank you to the Riley Lumpkin Adult Bible Study Class for providing sandwiches for the East Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl. We will provide lunch for the Good Samaritan on November 7th. You can donate to this luncheon thru the In As Much Fund.

The second Monday in November and December our Monday Luncheon will be held at Southland Restaurant. Please join us there at 11:00 am. We will help serve breakfast with First Community Church on Saturday, November 11th. See Sharon Standifer for details.

Over Christmas we are going with Filter of Hope on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. More info can be found at www.filterofhope.org.

The college students will sell T-shirts as a fundraiser. If you would like to donate money for a water filter, the cost is $40 per filter. Please put “college mission” in the memo line.
