POVERTY AWARENESS BRAINSTORMING —
In September we will begin a six-week churchwide focus on ministry with the poor. Hopefully, every facet of our ministry will take the time to learn more about under-resourced people in our area, and we pray that many of our people will take some action to make a difference. Please join us for a meeting in the Fellowship Hall after our meal on Aug. 16. During that meal, Kevin and Melody will share an overview of their plan and offer resources to you for your small group, Sunday School class, or other ministry. We will also enlist your help to ensure that this initiative is church-wide.
CHURCH AND SOCIETY MEETING
Church & Society Committee will meet on Tuesday, Aug.1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Koinonia Classroom. The meeting is open to anyone who is interested. Please join us for a discussion on ways FLUM can impact our community.
SHARE YOUR PASSION
We hope to offer a variety of classes for people of all ages this fall, designed around what you love to do. The possibilities could include things such as art, music, cooking, fitness, softball, reading, writing, history, astronomy, woodworking, needlepoint, gardening, photography, etc. If you have a passion that you are willing to share, contact the church office and let us know how many weeks you’ll need. We’ll promote your idea to the church and community, and if there’s enough interest, we’ll schedule you to begin after Labor Day.
