Marvin Cherry, pastor of Hightown Church of God.

Six of our church members are in the city-wide Racial Reconciliation Project. Melissa Thomas shares a little about her group. “The reconciliation group that I am in meets once a month for an hour and a half. It is composed of men, women, younger, older, black and white participants who have a heart for sharing, loving and learning to reconcile differences that we have. It is based on a mosaic model that involves a scripted, guided process by a leader. We share our experiences, listen without judging, and are open to new ways of interaction and problem solving.”
