Leaders Needed for Lenten Small Groups

I’m excited about developing small discipleship groups during Lent which starts on Wednesday, February 22, and I would deeply appreciate your considering being a leader in this strategic effort. What I’m asking you to consider is: to prepare with me over the next month for these groups. We will work to prepare in 5 areas:

  • Hosting a group in your home or some other place of your choosing outside the church (Hosts are not asked to lead the group meetings)
  • Partnering with one or two other persons or couples to lead the group meetings … and how to lead these meetings (Leaders are not asked to host the group meetings in their home) using the “Five Practices of Fruitful Living”
  • Inviting other members of our church to join your group

  • Inviting several neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, etc. who are not active in a church to be a part of the group
  • Praying for the Holy Spirit to empower our efforts

If you willing to do this, let me know by Sunday, 1/22 when would be the best weekly time for this training over the next month. Some of the times that have
been mentioned are: Sunday Lunch, Sunday evening or an early morning breakfast. I am willing to meet with you whenever and wherever is best for you once/week for a month before February 22 (Ash Wednesday). It would be helpful, of course, if we can cluster those who are interested into a few times. But if one of these times won’t work for you, please let me know when will, and find a few others who would meet at that time as well.

I believe this will be a powerful time of growth for our church … moving us forward … toward Easter … and experiencing the power of the Resurrection. I hope
you will answer YES to this call and help our church grow.

With Blessings in Christ from your Pastor,
Chris
